Mk1 escort car cover fits ok but is not soft inside so it may scratch the paintwork so I’m disappointed considering the high price . Having looked around there are other cover for £40 that are cotton lined inside to prevent scratches.

As long as there is no contamination between the car and the cover then it cannot scratch. As shown in the site non of our covers have a fleece lining as they tend to pick up dirt and dust which can then scratch your car. Its the same with zips in covers, A complete NO NO. Rest assured your cover will cause you no issues.
